before I start if you've ever read my page before at all you prolly have seen that I don't read a lot of manga. Cuz personally I think reading is boring and corny af.
so the other day I finished watching the The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity anime and my first thought was damn I need what Rintarou's having. my second thought was damn this was why can't i stop thinking about this show like everywhere i go i can't stop thinking about this show why is it so peak idk why. so I was in the library at my tafe (yes I'm a 18 yr old blue collar worker) doom scrolling watching some TikTok edits of this show (they are so peak btw) and i was thinking about damn this needs a second season rn. and from the corner my eye I see the manga for this show like aing? why is this book in a trade school library? (I'm being so deada** btw) but then I realize damn I need to read ts. when I say this story is so peak I mean it honestly a 100/100 experience but no manga chatting we going to the actual review of just the anime so far.

so to the actual anime I first stumbled upon this anime from Instagram reels about maybe last last year and when first discovering about this I was a hater at heart but ohh lord I was so wrong about this show, the way i felt when watching this show i wanna knock myself out and hopefully forget that i watched this show so i can watch it over and over again thats how peak this story is. but being fr this anime made me really rethink everything cuz when i was younger (more yap) i had a relationship that was kinda like this and it made me get those butterflies again and that weird but good tingly feeling. it just made me feel like everything was good again after watching it. the show has that warmth and comfortability to it that I just can't get enough of, the show just gets rid of any bad day i've been having and i love it so much and i read a paper copy of the anime in my tafe class that's how crazy it's getting and I'm putting people on to ts idc.
#LETS DO PLOT/SETTING FIRST
10/10 PEAK. the plot reminds me of every guys first highschool relationship in some way it sure reminded me of mine thats for sure. also a bit of romeo and juliet vibes, it so warm and fuzzy how these 2 find each other and how fate really brang these 2 together put the biggest smile of my face ever. whoever unlike other typical romance anime its very slow paced and the story only really covers about 30ish or so chapters which doesn't matter if you read the manga but in anime standards the story could get a little bit boring after all the apologizing which btw people complain about but I've been through this and its so normal for this to happen my first relationship i swear we apologized to each other like 50 times a day lol. but anyways it only really covers the main parts and skips until they start dating then it takes off from there where the manga is soooo good btw read it (nothing else) honestly the weakest part of the story is 100% the plot only because this first season is gonna be the slowest by farrrr. also loved the cake arcs :)
#LETS MOVE ON TO CHARACTERS
my favorite part of the entire story or any sort of fiction is this anime's characters. honestly the most real and down to earth characters I've seen in my entire life reminds me of a real couple you'd see on the street the first 13 episodes they fleshed out the characters so well, I honestly can't wait until the second season until they really shine in this show. it definitely needed a 24 ep first season to really show everyone how good these characters are. Waguri and Rintarou are the cutest couple ever and later on the Subaru and Saku side "couple" are almost equally as good they honestly did the best job on portraying irl romance because it felt sooo real, loyal and loving.and everyone else i loved you too but not enough time so far but in the manga they did you nice.
#CONCLUSION
honestly thats all i gotta say. 10/10 my arguable favorite series of all time love u all ciao
