Fairy Tail 100 years quest (manga review) chapter 1-200
______
Part one: About Fairy Tail
Ah, Fairy Tail. Where can I even begin? I remember catching up to this manga like 3 years ago when it had 108 chapters, and now it has 200, meaning that Fairy Tail overall has 745 chapters (Longer than Naruto, Bleach, and Gintama). If you clicked this review, I guess you're probably familiar with Fairy Tail, watched or read at least a couple of episodes/chapters. Maybe even caught up to the manga and anime. However, if not, let's summarize the story before this sequel started. In short, the story follows Natsu Dragneel, who wants to find his dad Igneel. As he meets a new girl named Lucy Heartfilia, he eventually finds him around chapter 400, but the story continues after that with Natsu beating the bad guys, which at the time were Acnologia and Zeref. And the story continues as Natsu, Lucy, Gray, Erza, and Wendy start the 100 years quest.

Part two: The 100 Years Quest experience
First of all, I have to say I'm reviewing the manga (I dropped the anime adaptation). I wanted to review it for a long time, but I think that now it's the best time to. The 100 years quest experience was weird at the start, with all the dragon gods that god mentioned. The most popular was Ignia, who is apparently Igneel's TRUE son. The story continued, and it became weird and pointless Spoiler, click to view With Wendy getting Irene's powers, only to lose them 70 chapters later, with Lucy being able to mix her star dresses, with Erza getting her hair cut short for no reason as she fought against a new character named Misaki, and so on
However, it became even weirder when the Gold Owl arc started, with pointless side characters appearing to do nothing, and new character turns good only to get one shot at the same chapter. I don't like it. I used to like Fairy Tail back in the day, but nowadays, I just cannot see myself loving it again. Sure, I do still like Zeref; he's one of my favorite anime characters, and he is from Fairy Tail. But Fairy Tail overall, it is just not the same.
So what do I think overall? How was the experience? Weird, in short, of course, but also awfully written.
Part three: On a scale of one to one hundred, how good is it?
It's bad, art is decent, but it's not like the og (I know Mashima doesn't draw Fairy Tail anymore). Writing is awful, as mentioned, story and dynamics are really bad too, especially coming to Erza with Jellal, whose character gets worse by every arc. The pacing is bad, and the hype moments can be ruined easily in the next chapter, so overall, on the scale, it won't be very high. I don't think it'll be higher than 10/100.
