My Hero Academia Final SeasonBefore I begin, I want to warn that this review contains SPOILERS. I will also leave a song below for anyone who wants to read the review while listening to music, just the way I like it.
My Hero Academia has been facing a large wave of hate for quite some time, but for me it has always been my favorite anime. This final season was something I never expected to be handled with so much care and love, and I am genuinely happy to see My Hero Academia finally receiving the appreciation it deserves.
It was 11 beautiful episodes, with 20 minutes that felt like only 2, and all of them holding ratings above 9, which is extremely difficult to achieve, especially for an anime as famous as My Hero Academia!

StoryThe story of the season begins exactly where the previous one left off, with the fight between All For One and All Might. Seeing All Might prove that, even without a quirk, he still tries to be a symbol of peace was extremely symbolic to me. I am very grateful that they found a way to include him in the final battle.
The story always followed the right timing. Moments like Stain’s appearance or Bakugo’s return were unpredictable and extremely well executed. Bakugo’s unexpected fight against All For One was impactful, but the most important moment was undoubtedly the battle between Deku and Shigaraki, the fight the anime had been building toward for eight seasons and that everyone was waiting for. Seeing the entire world support Midoriya was incredibly emotional, and for me, the anime’s ending was PERFECT. I honestly can’t imagine a better way to conclude this story.
CharactersI won’t talk about every character, since many of them appeared, but besides the main ones, I want to give credit to a few that I think were handled really well in this final season.

All Might & All For OneI’ll start with the characters who opened the season. It’s always special to see two characters who have been fighting for so long finally reach their final battle. It could have ended differently, but I believe the way it concluded was very well executed and deeply emotional.
As for All Might, there are truly no words to describe the development this character has gone through over the course of the story. The way his arc ends, especially seeing him cry, felt powerful and necessary. Without hesitation, I can say that All Might, among all existing works, including Marvel and DC, will always stand as one of the greatest symbols of heroism.
Regarding All For One, I can’t fully hate him. Despite being a villain and having been evil since birth, he is incredibly well written, and that is something I deeply appreciate in a character.
Bakugo & MidoriyaThis is proof that for a story to be good, the characters need proper development, and the development these two received was outstanding.
Bakugo, who was once one of the most hated characters in the series, ended up becoming one of the most beloved. His evolution from an angry, constantly yelling character into someone who genuinely cares about others was incredible. His moments in this season were, for me, a solid 10/10.
As for the protagonist, and my favorite character of all time, he is another perfect example of character development. He went from a quirkless boy to a hero who became an inspiration to countless people. Midoriya’s journey is exactly the kind of growth that makes a story truly memorable.
ShigarakiRegarding the final “villain,” I honestly found the way his story ended to be quite tragic. This is yet another example of how, in My Hero Academia, almost every villain carries a deeply sad backstory. Realizing that All For One controlled Shigaraki for so long, even to the point of altering his quirk, makes everything even heavier. It is truly sad to know that Shigaraki could have been a hero, which is what he always wanted deep down. His final appearance in the last episode was the clearest sign of that.
Side CharactersI couldn’t finish this review without talking about all the people and side characters that made this season even more special. From the teachers, such as Aizawa and Present Mic, to all the students in the class. I especially want to highlight Todoroki, who may not have received as much spotlight in this season, but was extremely important throughout the previous one and to the overall development of the story.
It was also very touching to see everyone who supported Midoriya, including characters from previous movies, which I thought was a beautiful and well-thought-out gesture. Seeing the support of everyone, from secondary heroes to ordinary people like Midoriya’s mother and Bakugo’s family, reinforced the anime’s core message about unity, support, and humanity.

Music & OST´sThe music in My Hero Academia has always been incredible, but this season completely surpassed my expectations. The OSTs were used perfectly, further enhancing the emotional impact of every scene. Both the opening and the ending are completely unskippable, reinforcing the weight and grandeur of this final season even more.
Bringing Porno Graffiti back for this conclusion was a fantastic choice, as was having BUMP OF CHICKEN for the final ending. Yuki Hayashi also deserves the biggest possible thank you for everything he has done over these 10 years, because My Hero Academia’s musical identity simply wouldn’t be the same without him.

Fights & AnimationFirst of all, I have to say that bones truly gave it their all this season. I have no complaints whatsoever, and I genuinely believe everything was handled in the best way possible. Thank you for giving everything you had to My Hero Academia.
All For One Vs All MightThe fight between these two was not very long, but it showcased determination, hatred, and all the long-held feelings of revenge. Everything was clearly conveyed in this battle. I can say that All Might put up a strong fight, and even though it was short, it was beautiful to watch.

All For One Vs BakugoIt was simply beautiful, one of the best things I have ever seen in my life. The music, the choreography, the voice acting, everything worked in perfect harmony. I don’t have a single complaint, it was all executed flawlessly.

Deku Vs ShigarakiI cried, I jumped, I screamed. I can say with absolute certainty that this was the best episode of the entire series. Deku will always be the number one hero for me. It felt like a fight of everyone against Shigaraki, not just Deku alone, and that made the moment even more special and powerful.

Final ThoughtsSome people may have skipped most of this review and come straight to the conclusion, so I want to be clear about my final thoughts. This season delivered an incredibly well-crafted ending, both emotionally and visually. The story reached a conclusion that felt complete, intentional, and respectful to everything that had been built over the years.
Beyond its technical qualities, My Hero Academia is a series that had a personal impact on me. It is a story I grew with, and one that genuinely changed the way I see certain themes such as perseverance, responsibility, and growth. Because of that, this finale felt especially meaningful.
The emotional payoff was strong, the character arcs reached satisfying resolutions, and the final moments carried real weight. It felt like a natural and fitting conclusion to a long journey. For me, My Hero Academia will always hold a special place, not just as an anime, but as a story that truly mattered in my life.
It’s over now, but I’ll see you around.
