Story ════ ⋆★⋆ ════ The story follows Iwata, a girl that is much taller and stronger than the average girl, causing her to be perceived almost as non-ladylike because of her body. She's in love with a friend that she has known since elementary school, Kamishiro. On the other hand, he's the most popular guy in school because of his looks and his performance in the soccer club. Now, in junior high, they're reunited in the same class and anything can happen. The story is cliché? Yes, but it's good enough for a romance. I felt like in the beginning it had a lot of drama and hoops which was kind of turning me off some, but soon the focus shifted into being a comfort/cute anime. During my time watching, I've been extremely delighted with this anime and I would like to add that there's a good closure to season 1, no cliffhangers or things to make you want to kill the director. With a Season 2 already confirmed, it makes this anime a good romance option.════ ⋆★⋆ ════
Art ════ ⋆★⋆ ════ The art is average. The animation sometimes is non-existing, but for one, romance animes do not need a really good animation, it's all about not being straight-up terrible. One thing that I personally liked in this anime was the changes in art style. Sometimes the art would change to have a heavier tone in impactful scenes and that was combined with a change in color palette, most of the times with high exposure. So you'd have a scene that was vibrant and overall impactful, and I think that was a good decision, especially for the moments that we all look for in a romance anime.

Characters ════ ⋆★⋆ ════ There are a medium amount of characters in this anime, mostly the classroom students, teachers, and such. They're all well done; Iwata has her close friends, each with a different personality and style, and the colleagues are also funny and fit well with the side-characters. They get some good screen time and you're able to distinguish everyone both in terms of character design and personality, which is good.
As I always like to talk about the main character, Iwata was a good main character. I was able to empathize with her and I was cheering a lot for her. She wasn't frustrating to watch as some romance animes do and in general, I enjoyed everything about her.

Soundtrack ════ ⋆★⋆ ════ The soundtrack is good. I personally liked the song on both the ending and the opening. The ending was really well done artistically speaking, but I just didn't like the main "beat" I think. In terms of VA, they're well done; I feel like their voices really suited the style of the character, more chill characters had a monotone kind of voice that got along nice. Overall, the soundtrack was able to engage my "emotional" side when needed and that's all I can ask.

Conclusion ════ ⋆★⋆ ════ If you're like me, you skip everything and read only the conclusion because you don't want to get spoiled with other themes. So I will try to be brief on this point:Watch it. If you like romance animes that focus on cutesy and satisfying romance, without much drama, that's a good pick. I also think that the story of a main character who's strong and tall yet cute in their own way sets this anime apart from the majority. I'm excited for a 2nd season of this anime.16.5 out of 20 users liked this review
