I regret that I only read it now. For a while, I had reservations about it being labeled as gory, but it's not something that was negatively portrayed. It could have been longer; I would have liked to know more about the protagonists' relationship, but on the other hand, I think we got enough, and it fits the story.
Regarding the characters:
I'm a big fan of the main protagonist; she's not a flat and perfect character; she has her flaws and strengths, which give her depth. I'm glad that a character who aspires to be incredibly strong, independent, and tough is also shown from a weaker side. Simply showing her psyche and her state in the past and present is a good touch.
I'm glad that her lover was portrayed the way she was. The fact that she haunts the protagonist throughout the story highlights the complexity of seolah's psyche. The antagonists aren't flat either; they are people with mental health issues, but I'm glad that their actions weren't justified by this.
LBGTQ+ Theme:
The fact that a key figure in the police department is queer and can't admit it because of her position is a key part of the manga. I like that this issue is presented from both her and her partner's perspectives. It also highlights the existence of homophobia in the world, which makes their functioning difficult. There's also the suspicion that the crime itself was committed out of homophobia. I think this unfortunately accurately portrays the feelings of queer people, and as a lesbian, I feel represented in some way.
Art Style:
It's not a typical manga, but I like it; it's well-done and fits the events. The colors are also good; they add to the tension that's constantly present. The fact that the colors shift from warm to cool during the flashbacks with Hara perfectly captures Seolah's feelings for her.
The story is heavy, very heavy. It forced me to reflect, which I consider a big plus.
I'm sorry that Seolah committed suicide, but on the other hand, I understand her since she loved Hara so much.
Overall, I really liked it, as I said, I regret not having read it earlier and I hope I will find something similar,
