My Review of "The Daily Life of a Part-time Torturer"!

Hell, I’d hire Spirytus as my go-to torture group… in-game of course.
Story
This anime details the daily life of employees at the torture business Spirytus. The four torturers of this business are Cero, Shiu, Mikke, and Hugh. As the episodes progress, each member learns more and more about each other and their relationships develop as they grow closer together.
The Good
This show was pretty good. I enjoyed the various personalities of each employee in Spirytus. It was fun seeing each of them interact and share more about themselves over time. I didn’t find myself to be bored too much watching this show because it was able to balance filler and character development throughout the show. I don’t think the lack of a story ruined the anime and not having much of a story or plot really made things more enjoyable for me. There were some subtle hints of comedy and potentially BL sprinkled within the episodes and I think they were subtle enough to where it didn’t overtake the main theme/point of the show- torture- and rather elevated the characters themselves.
The Bad
To be honest with you, I didn’t find anything bad with this anime. I think that this anime did a really good job for what it was: an unserious anime about a bunch of part-time torturers getting along with each other and having their own shenanigans. I’m not saying that it’s the best anime show in the world, but I really don’t think it lacks any big problems. Although, this probably won’t be the case for some other watchers, especially for people who can find these types of shows boring.
The Downright Ugly
Apart from the results of the torture victims, there’s nothing downright ugly about this anime.
Is It Worth The Watch?
If you’re looking for some good ol’ silly boy shenanigans with a sprinkle of torture, this’ll be a show worth watching. I honestly found this show to be quite fun to watch and I think the subtlety of male connections was done well. It didn’t have too much of a story, but it honestly didn’t need it because this was still a good show in itself.
Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I hope this helped you with your decision on whether to watch this anime or not! If you already have watched it, I hope that you can agree with me with some of the points I made. If you enjoyed this review, I would greatly appreciate a follow too! ^^
