The first half of this review is spoiler-free, but I will let you know when the spoilers kick in!
Tada-kun wa Koi wo Shinai is an anime that tells the age-old (and, yes, cliche -- there I said it) boy-meets-girl-and-falls-in-love story that is everything you would expect. There's no surprise twist or dramatic reveal or mysterious death. And that's not a spoiler! In fact, you receive all the information you need about this anime and how it will carry on within the first episode. If you want a romantic comedy story full of drama and the ups and downs of high school, I'd happily point you toward Kimi ni Todoke or Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun! If you want slice-of-life high school story filled with mystery and some bittersweet reminders of young love, then you should head over to Hyouka!
TadaKoi is exactly what you expect and incredibly predictable, and I'm perfectly fine with that.
When I finished episode 1 and clicked on the next one, I knew exactly what I was getting into. In fact, seeing these other reviews, I'm more surprised that there's people upset with the ending. I'm not sure what was expected?
This anime is the embodiment of clicking on a romance fanfic that has the tag "they stay in a hotel and there's only bed".
GASP There's only one bed.... whatever shall happen? Best read on to know for sure...
Now, this anime has a lot of other redeeming qualities: amazing art/animation, great voice actors, catchy music. And to be honest, this anime was a ride -- definitely not a rollercoaster, but rather, a quiet train ride where the sun is shining through the windows, a gentle breeze caresses your cheeks, and there a delicious cup of coffee (or tea! or hot chocolate!) resting in your hands.
TadaKoi is sweet, sometimes almost a little too much, and exactly what I recommend if you just want to relax with a silly smile on your face for 13 episodes.

NOW TO THE SPOILERS! I'M GOING TO DISCUSS THE FINAL EPISODE SO IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED, PLEASE DO NOT READ ON!

I can't review this anime without talking about the ending, which from some of these reviews and comments, is a serious talking point and the main reason why people are giving this anime its bad reviews.
But I have to refer back to my previous question: what did you expect?
You could not have gone 12 episodes into this extremely predictable anime and have not seen this final episode coming from 100 miles away.
Maybe you held on to some hope that the ending would be bittersweet, like Tada and Teresa would just part ways for the rest of their lives, holding onto this beautiful memory of young love. To which I say, "No!". There's so many other animes for that! I would recommend a few, but I fear someone complaining about spoilers.
In fact, I see this ending as almost entirely satisfying. We got an on-screen kiss! Do you know how many animes I've seen where there's a reunion scene that just has the two characters staring at each other from afar. Sometimes, one of the characters isn't even shown! One character just turns to the camera and smiles, and we, the viewers, just have to assume the two characters have been reunited. Or, worst of all, we never get to see them reunited.
This romance story's beginning, climax, and ending that are precisely what I imagined.
Maybe I would have like more with Pin-senpai and Hinako. Maybe the ultimate pairing of Charles and Alec was a little forced, especially since the writers made it such a point to show that Charles loved Teresa for years.
But otherwise, this anime showed me what I expected to see, and there's really no greater satisfaction than getting exactly what I want.
It's okay to give into the cliches sometimes. Life's short. Read those enemies-to-lovers or fake relationship fanfics!
.... But would it have killed the writers to make the title rainbow related, instead of this god awful one...
