This is by far the most amazing season/anime in the history. The story gets such a fucking twist that it kept me on the edge of my seat.
[(SPOILER AHEAD) STORY:]()
This season (or should I say 2nd cour to Season 3) starts off with the Survey Corps at Shiganshina, they are scouting for Reiner and Bertholdt, whom are seen as the enemies #1. The start of the season is mostly just the fight between Eren and Reiner but than it happens. The whole story is dumped on us, the basement.
(I already warned like twice but here's yet another warning, for those who haven't seen any AoT season or just this one.)
The basement is by far the most anticipated moment in Anime history, what hides there? What secrets will we find? How do we defeat the titans?
Well we got to know all of that and so much more. The basement has a book written by Grisha Yeager (The Father of Eren). It also contains a photo of Grisha in the past. The twist is... the Titans are actually the humans, or just a different race. Eren, Levi, Armin. They all have the capability to turn into a titan, that is after being injected with the fluid. There is another race of Humans who cannot do this, they have been oppressing the Titan Changers for a long time. Grisha was one of the many who wanted to start a revolution agaisnt this and thus Eren came into the picture, after being found out and tossed (without being turned) into the "Titan Pit" he ran to the walls and started his plan.
I majorily simplifying this season, yes But if we were to point out each and every little detail we would have to be here for quite some time. The moment in which all of the pieces start to fit together was just such an amazing moment.

[CHARACTERS:]()
The main cast basically is untouched, well apart from Eren, Reiner, and Bertholdt.
Eren - He matures the fuck up, kinda, mostly he just has a sadder atmosphere to him at the end of the season. This can be greatly attributed to the fact that so much knowledge about the outside world has been dumped on him and the future of lays on his shoulders. He is determined nonetheless to eradicate the enmies...which now are a bit different from before.
Reiner - He is mostly the same as we've seen in the previous seasons but the key difference is that during the fight with Eren and the capturing of him we get to see his desperation, and also we now know he is a much bigger piece of this whole plot. He gets re-taken by the "Enemies" (I don't know what to call them as they are part of the same Race as Eren but also wants Eren gone)
Bertholdt - He is more calm and thoughtful, doesn't fall for those easy trick of Armin. That's basically all I can say about him, oh actually he also manages to save Armin... by dying.
We also get a look at Zeke (Beast Titan), a character which is part of the Reiner group. He lurks mostly on the off stage (his major moment was the fight with Levi.) Erwin was the MVP of this whole thing by the way, his scenes made me honestly tear up. He was by far the most important character AoT had.

[ART/ANIMATION:]()
WIT Studio is honestly my favourite studio due to this whole series, time and time again they have proven that they are capable of such good works. The fights are amazingly animated with all of the 3D maneuver gear scenes being smooth and crisp. The Colossus which was done in CGI was a bit of a let down but honestly I don't mind, its clear that the budget went to the fighting and also that amazing end scene with the ocean, that Ocean scene was amazing.
[MUSIC:]()
The OP and ED are such bops, I've been listening to them so god damn much.
The OST is always good in AoT and this entry does not dissapoint, the music fits so well with each scene, amazing bops to be had.
[OVERALL OPINION:]()
This season...it is amazing. The animation, the story, the soundtrack, and the characters all come together to make something so unique and great. This felt like just the start, so many questions answered but so many new questions appearing. I love this series, honestly. This season is by far the most amazing thing to have come out in the recent years. Yeah AoT gets a lot of Hype but in my honest opinion it is very much deserved.
