While looking for a short manga to read, I came across this hidden gem. A short boys love revolving around a boy who keeps reliving the same day, or in other words time manipulation. But, why did I rate it as I did? Let me take a moment to explain.
Story - 8/10, or Very Good
It's not everyday when you find a boys love involving time "manipulation." The story itself is more unique than most boys love stories, bringing an element in that you wouldn't usually expect. The story is fast paced and simple, which is good for people who like it short and easy. It also doesn't require much thinking. Personally, I prefer having to think when reading stuff, as it can form space for theories and such. When I read or watch something, making theories is one of my favorite parts. But nonetheless I thought the story was worthy of an 8, nothing more and nothing less.
Art - 8l10, or Great
The art was very simple, and some panels were simply beautiful, especially the ones in the last chapter. Of course, there were some panels that could've been very nice if a little more work was put into them. Like, they seemed to stand out a little bit in terms of lacking. Despite the fact that some panels could've had some more work, it doesn't change the fact that drawing for manga can be a hassle, and some manga artists simply don’t have the time. So I personally believed the art was worthy of an 8, and surely nothing less.
Characters - 7/10, or Good
Just like the story and art, the characters were simple and extremely easy to understand. The characters were also adorable, but I didn't feel like they were the kinds worthy of having their names ingrained into my head. I wish more stuff could've been explained about them, such as hobbies. And in a way I feel as if this could've easily been fixed if the story was longer, which there's nothing to do about. In the end, I decided to give the characters a 7 because they seemed bland compared to many other characters, and there wasn’t too much information about them.
Enjoyment - 10/10, or Masterpiece
This manga was different from the stuff I usually read, and I for sure did enjoy it from start to finish. I read the whole thing in one sitting, while trying to savor it as much as I could due to how short it was. Once I finished it I surely did have a smile on my face, which is usually rare when I’m reading something. It was also a refresher from the sad things I read and watch.
Overall - 8.25 = 8/10, or Very Good
Overall, I believed it was a very good manga. It was refreshing from what I usually read, the story wasn't too much, and the art was nice. If you're looking for a short boys love with a simple twist, I surely do recommend this one.
