Trying a slightly or very different style of writing every time at-least for now.
*Note that there is spoilers in here but i will hide them via the tag. Also not that i enjoyed this movie a lot while trying to view it with both an open mind and a critic mind.(Whether i do a good job at that last part is up to you to decide and why i am writing reviews)
Pro's of this movie
- "Takes place somewhere else outside the village the show takes place in for both seasons" this journey takes us the viewers and our main cast to other areas of the world that have been mentioned but never shown. We get to see a town full of chuunibyou but with actual abilities. For those of you who have seen the anime with that name, it be as if taking that anime's cast and throwing them into a fantasy world and having gained abilities and fall ever so deeper into being a chuuni.(minus the love story aspect of that anime)
- YunYun gets a chance to shine. From start to finish she is there either helping the team on or off screen and as the climax hits she is an important figure in defeating their enemy.
- Sylvia being the newest main character added really did a great job and just wants to be loved. As far as a villain in Konosuba goes she has to be one of the most formidable and one of the best sets of abilities too.

Since she like Rimuru is able to devour to attain strength she also gains the abilities of what she devours and we have seen how that plays out in slime Isekai. That aside the way she uses this ability in the final battle is by far next level move for someone in there world seeing that is what i had hoped she would do, and when it actually happened it felt so satisfying. This brought the difficulty level of that fight so much higher for our crew. Which in-turn forced them to next level the way they had to think about the battle a few different times through out this fight. - "Backstory on Megumin, and the real reasons why she uses only explosion magic." In the show it was a question even Kazuma had asked or tried convincing bakuretsu-chan to at the very least gain other spells that can be useful and not waste all her mana. Finally having some light shed on it was great having not read the source material at that time.
- Same Konosuba comedy has not diminished felt like coming back for a third season in many aspects.
- We are almost done with the demon kings army(should be) s3 can give us the last members including the king if given 3 to 4 cour or a part 1 and 2 thus finishing the series type of situation. main reason is why stop now since the story is almost at its conclusion.
- The dynamic of Megumin's family is both relatable and well done. While they are not the weakest of the village they are the poorest and this plays a big part in how Megumin and her family lived through out the years.

Though i do not agree with exactly how it was done the extreme support her mother gave her in finding a man was still from a place of love and to better the families financial issues. Thus giving not just them a better chance at life but also the youngest daughter whom Megumin cares for very dearly. This combined with how the events went down for Kazuma and Megumin had been great and predictable(not in a bad way the outcome was how it always goes how it goes is priceless) the tension of being forced into that situation is deescalated through the usual Konosuba comedy which in-turn gives both characters a chance to calm down think this through and actually make some progress. Both character start to admit that there is something there and that they are fine with "continuing" age aside i am happy to see this sprouting and i know by that worlds standards she is recognized as of age. This does still understandably make people uncomfortable and might sway them from liking this part of the story. It does not however end in any way perverted. It does end in a heartwarming progress aspect and a cock-blocking moment as well but this sets up for them having a relationship in the future possibly. (At least if she is the one chosen which seems to be the case by how many moments they have had compared to the others. And by being the authors favorite ship, if i am not mistaken.) - Lastly the animation does not falter either. from things like the orc scene and its intensity, followed by the "jiggle physics" still being the same if not better for those that like that aspect of Konosuba. Combat got a buff not just visually but strategically and prolonged as well making for a climactic fight worth the build up it had through the movie. Finally even the over world in this case the village the movie is set in did not get shafted.
Cons of this movie are to me little but
- It finished......

(Over all is unimportant but i would have liked to see this since it does have to do with megumin and her reason for wanting to learn explosive magic.) Chomusuke's backstory through the series and movie isnt given enough detail since for those that have read the source material know this adorable fire-breathing cat from the spa episode as a lovely lady with beautiful eyes."hint hint" - Sylvia should have been mentioned in the show to some extent but that is also a double edged comment if she had been then it may have ruined her importance to the movies plot.

Since for instance her backstory and reasoning for her living was to be recognized as a formidable competent person and to experience love since being a chimera first then adding on female parts then male parts she is not originally human and these concepts bring meaning to her new life experience she gained by adding those parts. Had this been explained in the anime it leave little for us to get to know her in the movie. This combined with building up her anger, hate, wanting to be loved the actions she takes that conflict with each other time and time again in the movie would/could have lessened her impact in the movie.
So in the end i would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a good laugh, time, and is trying to get into konosuba while wanting to know if its worth the watch.
Darkness,Sylvia,Megumin best girls.
And yes the title of this review is in fact a reference
