I wanted to watch this anime with my friends as a joke, since I have seen many negative things about it. Well let me tell you this is one of the worst things I have ever needed to bear with. The sadistic people around that poor girl, filled with utter despair was simply unbearable. This anime glorifies sadism, abuse, bullying and sexual assault. It is a mere abomination, almost too disgusting to be true. The thing that is the almost the most inexplicable aspect of this abhorrence, is the fact that this anime is considered as a ‘Shoujo’ which is directed at teenage girls. This is in fact, so inaccurate. No sane teenage girl would ever think of this anime as pleasant, interesting or okay in any way possible. I am disgusted by the makers of this anime, and by the people who consider this a Shoujo anime. The storyline is bad and seems a bit sluggish and vague, I am convinced that this anime was not directed at any sort of storyline at all, but a mere constant spiral of assault and seeing the girl in terror. What concerns me is the fact that there seems to be actual people who supposedly enjoy this anime. If you can find yourself in that position, I would kindly ask you to sympathize with the female protagonist and reflect on your feelings towards this anime since I am convinced that no healthy person could enjoy this, unless they have some concerning sadistic personality trait that they should definitely be concerned about.
In, for instance, episode 2 of the series, a scene occurred where one of the sadistic ‘vampires’ threw the girl in a pool. She was unable to swim, and therefore suffering and drowning. The guy who threw her in there supposedly thought it was a good idea to see her drown and when he finally decided to jump into the water, I was convinced that his intentions were to save her, but I was wrong. He somehow thought it was a good idea to kiss her and suck her blood while she was drowning, and desperately gasping for air. The sadism is unreal and definitely is something people should be ashamed of, when enjoying these personality traits.
I was convinced that all these gruesome occurrences could not somehow exacerbate, I was again in the wrong. That poor girl could not take this anymore, which is incredibly realistic, and then tried to kill herself. The vampires were somehow shocked and sad. This really blew my mind and I could not comprehend the message behind this anime. It is so obvious that a normal person could not bear with these gruesome and horrible circumstances when everyone is using them like an object and physically and mentally tormenting them. How could you be shocked when you ruin someone’s life?
In conclusion, this anime is simply inexplicable and wasted potential.
