Overall it is still one of my favourite animes, the roller coaster of emotions it provided and the story telling was superb. However as most people will say it seemed as if the ending was slightly rushed, but either way it's still an overall amazing ending. I would recommend watching this if your a new time anime watcher sine it's easy to follow and each episode starts where the prior episode begun.
If you like romance with a slight bit of sci-fi then you will enjoy Darling in the franx, has similar aspects to Evangelion due to mechs and all, however it is a completely different show on it's own. The anime is different to the manga since the anime came first before the manga so if for whatever reason your not satisfied with the ending you always have the option to read the manga and see if that ending justifies the conclusion your looking for. Main characters storyline gets built up extremely well throughout and ends up being extremely wholesome figuring out there backstories, as well side characters are also developed thoroughly since they are all teenagers at the end of the day.
In conclusion, This was one of the first animes I watched when I started to get back into anime and i'm extremely glad it was and I can guarantee that this is an anime that does not disappoint. Everything around it is thoroughly developed and it just hooks you with the "feels trip" as some people may put it, you end up getting attacked to the Main Characters that you just don't want to let go of them instead you want to see them excel and flourish and develop and they do it's amazing. All the characters alone get developed and flourish into something you would not expect, the anime hooks you into having different feelings for each character that near enough 90% of people will agree on because the story writing lead you into that direction of thinking and feeling that, which is what makes it quite superb within my eyes. There just isn't anything within it I cant flaw.
I still need 2200 characters so i'm just writing what I think about each character:
