Run With The Wind is a sports anime that goes beyond just running. It's an amazing story that contains characters that are all dealing with their own problems and are trying to move on from their past. Throughout the story you get to witness the growth of these characters as they work towards their goals and better themselves. The anime also has a motivational feel to it, as the theme of it pushes self & group improvement. It definitely is a perfect anime to watch if you are looking for something heartwarming and motivational to give you that little extra push in life or just to enjoy. Not to mention the ending soundtrack is one of the best I've heard in a while.
In all it is an amazing story with some of the best aspects that almost anyone would find enjoyable. The takeaway is the feeling that you get after watching it, is that you witnessed a well put together story that would most likely have an effect on any viewer. It is filled with many heartwarming events that really make the viewer feel as if they are there and maybe even teach us a lesson or two.
Spoilers
Within this story you learn a lot, with one of the major lessons being that everyone has there struggles. The anime doesn't revolve around just the main character but around all of them. We get a chance to see the world from their perspectives and what they are all dealing with. You get a sense of motivation when you witness what they are doing and while taking a look back at how far they have come, it might make you feel like a proud father. I definitely have to give it to the creators for being able to tell such a powerful story in such a well executed manner. For me personally, it definitely earned its spot on my top 10 list.
Final thoughts are that the anime doesn't build or prosper off the growth of one character, but off the group as a whole. It didn't just focus on them getting better at running, but also them improving their character and getting rid of bad habits. As running was not only a sport to them, but a way to clear their mind and better their life. The journey and enjoyment that you feel while watching it, is one that would be hard to find elsewhere. The impactfulness is really one that can really only be determined by the viewer as it is how you choose to interpret it. Not saying that it is for everyone, but if it seems like something you'd watch, you're in for a ride.
