Shut off your brain before watching this
This anime is hilarious. I mean it just blew my expectations away of how idiotic an anime character can be. I have witnessed some pretty dumb characters in anime, but none like the one seen in this show.
The anime focuses on Yoshiko who is dumb and loves bananas and her childhood friend and neighbor A-Kun also known as Akuru. A-Kun is the only one up to the challenge of trying and getting Yoshiko ready for the real world.
How dumb?
This dumb.
Instead of doing work, she would rather hang out at the playground with elementary school kids. They even know she is dumb, but I find their interactions pretty cute. Seeing them go along with Yoshiko but at the same time telling her what not to do because she has no clue.

I know the rule never hit a girl, but these moments are hilarious. The animation of her flying through the air, I should not laugh but I cannot help it. A-Kun really lays into her anytime she does something stupid which is all the time.

#Moving on: some of the main characters (the one's I pay attention to)Sayaka is a classmate who puts up with Yoshiko. She is very calm and collected but has her moments. She is a very cute character as well. Sayaka becomes friends with them very quickly.
Fuuki goes to their school and is the president of the disciplinary committee. She has big titties which Yoshiko likes. Also, Fuuki falls in love with A-Kun after an encounter at the school gates. Being the president she has to stay calm and collected but when it comes to A-Kun she turns into a puddle of goo and acts like a horny teenager. It is quite amusing to see her personality switch just like that.
Ruri is A-Kun's younger sister and is not good at school, but at least tries instead of doing nothing like Yoshiko. A-Kun loves his sister and only wants to make her happy no matter what (for the most part).
Yoshi is Yoshiko's mother and honestly can be just as dumb as her daughter. Going after anyone who is trying to get with A-Kun....she's an adult. A-Kun treats her the same way as Yoshiko without brute force.
Being serious for a moment I know some women would not like how the female characters are portrayed. Being dumb, horny, aloof, etc. Honestly, I do not mind. It is just an anime after all and it is supposed to be funny. Also, the boy characters are also not the best. One just wanting to play, the other one using violence a lot, being antisocial, not knowing how to talk to girls, etc. The characters in general should not be taken to heart. This anime should not be taken to heart. It is just a short anime (12-minute episodes, and 12-episodes) to make you laugh!
