Manga artist, painter, translator, and playwright.

Born in Tokyo in 1966. Graduated from Tama Art University with a degree in painting (oil painting). At the age of 20, while still in school, he made his debut as a manga artist in "Comic Morning". Since then, it has been serialized in commercial magazines for 30 years, and is still being serialized in Monthly Spirits. In addition to the breakthrough of the romantic comedy "B Virgin" with a biological otaku as the main character, the serialization of the dialogue manga "Medicine for Despair" that makes interviews with great people from all walks of life into cartoons, and the production of a manga version of "Zebra Man" (original: Kankuro Miyato) have become a big topic. His new books "Non-Talent" and "Killer Question" are long-selling sellers. In 2014, he planned a "free school program on the Internet" and started "Reiji Yamada's Young Sunday". As the main MC, while analyzing love, movies, manga, music, art, social issues, etc., the essence of the world and "how to live well" is still broadcast live every week with a variety of regular guests (Akiko Higashimura, Dress Causes, ONE, and many others). A course on how to draw manga is also released in the program. It has become an unusually popular program for manga artists.
