Masuda Jun'ichi was born January 12, 1968 in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. He is a Japanese video game composer and director, best known for his music to the Pokémon series of games. He was also the main composer for the soundtrack of Pulseman, another Game Freak title for the Sega Mega Drive. His music for the games is also used in the Pokémon television series, where it is arranged by Miyazaki Shinji.
Masuda was the main director behind the production of the Nintendo DS games Pokémon Diamond and Pearl.
