Futaba Sato is a Japanese actor, director, and Ancient Greek lyre player. She has a career in both theatre and music.
Her dedication to Ancient Greek culture has started when she was an university student. She majored in classics and specialized in Ancient Greek tragedy at the university, where she also studied Ancient Greek music. After graduating from a drama school in Japan, she started her career as an actor, director, and musician. She has been directing and performing a theatre series ‘ひとりギリシア悲劇’（Solo-Greek Tragedy) as her life work. She is also a Mangaka and a Novelist.
