
佐々木マキ
Sasaki Maki is a Japanese mangaka, a picture book writer and an illustrator. He made his debut as a manga artist in 1966 with "Yoku aru Hanashi" published in "Garo" and continued his work on experimental manga, largely published in the pages of the avant-garde magazine Garo. In 1973, he moved to the world of picture books, which are amongst his best-known works, such as Musshu Munieru (Monsieur Meuniere) series and the Nemui nemui nezumi (Very Sleepy Mouse) series. He also illustrated the covers for Haruki Murakami's first seven novels.
