In Febuary 2026, Japanese media released court filings stating that Yamamoto had been arrested for grooming and sexually assaulting multiple young girls. It was revealed that after his arrest and fine of 300,000 yen for possessing CSAM in February 2020, Yamamoto's work "Daten Sakusen" was suspended, yet resumed again in March. It was revealed the editor in charge offered the victim 1.5 million yen to withdraw accusations against the creator.
"Daten Sakusen" was cancelled, again, in October 2022, due to a civil lawsuit filed by the victim. He was later allowed to publish under Shogakukan again under a new name, starting in December 2022 with "Joujin Kamen". The trial concluded in Febuary 2026 with a ruling ordering Yamamoto to pay 11 million yen in damages, along with his puplisher, Shogakukan, once again cancelling his work and halting all distribution.
