Kyouko Takeda made her debut as a rental manga artist during her student years. She published a wide range of rental shoujo manga works through Wakagi Shobou.
In 1961, she made her magazine debut with "Ano Kare Koete" in "Shoujo" magazine (published by Kobunsha). Following this, she went on to publish many successful works in shoujo magazines from Shueisha, including "Margaret" and "Seventeen". Particularly, "Saboten to Marshmallow" became popular enough to be adapted into a television drama. In the 80's, she shifted her focus to josei magazines, such as "Be Love".
She retired from the manga scene in the mid 90's.
