1 - Least enjoyed anime I've finished
5 - Not good but I like it anyway
10 - Most enjoyed anime I've finished

1 - really bad media, promotes unhealthy ideas and handles them really ungracefully. Not that controversial ideas are bad but it wasn't thought through properly or executed poorly.

2 - Worst anything can be without being repugnant. Reserved for anything that somehow fails in immersing me in it's opening moments. Whether from egrigious writing or combination of that and poor direction/animation

3 - Victim to bad writing. Bad writing being the author not being consistent with their logic, whether with their characters or their plots. Also applicable to anything boring. Boring being either uninteresting humour or having no stakes or consequences in the plot (lacking reason to care).

4 - Mostly resvered for unoriginal works. They aren't poorly written in a traditional sense but instead just execute ideas in the same repeated ways seen in so many before. (having the same idea isnt a problem but if the work has nothing to offer in terms of theming, message or idea then why bother.)

5 - I don't think these are good but I enjoyed them personally.

6 - It's fine. It'd be easier to compare with what's rated higher and what's rated lower to understand but if I had to explain. It's seemingly unoriginal but it's execution of ideas are done well enough to invest in but not worth returning to.

7 - Like a 6 except with better execution. I can imagine these being a 10 if not for clear flaws had, whether unoriginality or unsatisfying execution.

8 - Good. Just short of being a 10 due to lacking qualities rather than flaws.

9 - Lacking in sole quality to be a 10 (likely a theme that you can learn from)

10 - Well Made, Well written, Interesting ideas and characters and finally a message that sticks with you or atleast makes you think.
