About Me:
I absolutely love rating shows, writing reviews, and diving into discussions/analyses. (And just to clarify—yes, I enjoy these first; ratings come later, after I’ve fully experienced them!)
A Few Notes About My Ratings:
How I Rate Anime:
When rating an anime, I consider what the creator is trying to communicate, as well as what to expect from the show. For example, I won’t expect deep psychological writing from a parody gag anime. Once I understand the show's intent, I evaluate it based on the following criteria:
What I Absolutely Hate:
I cannot stand filler episodes or episodes with zero progression. I’m in it for the characters and a well-crafted story.
What Makes an Anime a “Masterpiece” (9.1 or Above Rating):
A masterpiece anime excels in multiple areas. It should have a rounded, strong narrative and a well-developed, unique cast, without glaring flaws. More importantly, it needs to shine in one (or more) aspects so much that it outshines 99% of other anime.
A masterpiece doesn’t have to be complex or layered; it just needs to either be exceptional within its genre or present a unique concept executed in a revolutionary way. In short, it has to execute everything flawlessly while excelling in multiple other areas.
Rating Process:
My anime ratings are based on a weighted evaluation of the aspects I mentioned earlier. I assign each aspect a specific weight and then score it out of 10, calculating the final weighted average to determine the overall rating.
For unfinished anime or those with upcoming seasons, my ratings should be taken with a grain of salt. Since these series are still in progress, the scores reflect only the currently available content and may change considerably depending on how the story develops in future seasons.
As new seasons are released, the weightage and individual season ratings will also be adjusted, which can significantly impact the anime’s overall score. Because AniList only allows season-wise ratings rather than an overall series rating, I’ll assign the overall rating to the final or latest season. In the notes section of each season, I’ll include a detailed breakdown of scores and weightages for every aspect evaluated.
I don’t factor in OVAs, movies, ONAs, specials, or fillers unless they’re really crucial to the main story. These won’t affect the overall score unless they’re truly exceptional.

And that's it! If you’ve read this far, congratulations—you’ve made it through my long-winded rant about my anime habits. You must be really passionate about this stuff, just like me.
Please note that I’ve already watched many anime in the past, and I’ll be gradually adding them to my list as I remember them. This is a fresh start for me on this site, Thank you
