About Me
============
I really like watching stuff that just sort of takes me surprise and I find to be unique or interesting. That's about it. Outside of this I really like film, music, visual art, books and philosophy, so a lot of my thoughts on anime/manga are informed by these things.
Scoring System:
==========
5 stars: Amazing, universally recommended, can be anywhere from a wonderful piece of art to potentially life-changing
4 stars: Great, does what it sets out to do but not far above that. Regardless, very happy with it.
3 stars: S'alright, run-of-the-mill, or left me feeling a bit disappointed if the concept is ambitious enough.
2 stars: Not good. Probably don't bother with it, unless it's the type of bad that warrants laughing at it.
1 star: Abysmal. God-awful. Don't engage with it unless I give good reason to.
How I Watch Stuff
=====================
I tend to interface with anime and manga the same way I do with most Western media, which is trying to read between the lines at least somewhat to crack some sort of deeper meaning. Because of this, I might not be great at reviewing more easygoing stuff reliably, but I feel I'm able to provide some decent-ish commentary on slightly more challenging or philosophical stuff. This is mostly here to apologise in advance if I ever come across as pretentious or snobby, haha.
