With the Female Titan beaten and the immediate threat to Trost behind them, the Survey Corps barely have time to bury their dead. Wall Rose — the second of the three barriers protecting what's left of humanity — is already under attack, and the new wave of titans includes ones that shouldn't be possible. Eren can shift into a titan now, but the cost of using that ability and the questions about where it came from are catching up to him. The second season tightens the world around the Scouts and starts naming the people behind the breach in Wall Maria.
