Akagami no Shirayuki-hime
Shirayuki is a young apothecary in the small kingdom of Tanbaran whose unusually red hair has attracted the wrong kind of attention: the prince has decided she is to be his concubine. She cuts her hair, walks out of the country, and crosses the border into Clarines instead. On the forest path she runs into Zen — quiet, well-dressed, unhurried — who turns out, by the time they reach the capital, to also be a prince, but a considerably kinder one. The series follows Shirayuki training as a court apothecary, her friendship with Zen developing despite the gap in their ranks, and the politics that disapprove.
