Ookami to Koushinryou
Kraft Lawrence is a twenty-five-year-old peddler working the back routes of a pseudo-medieval Europe, when he discovers a young woman with wolf ears and a tail asleep in his wagon's wheat sack. She is Holo, a harvest goddess the local farmers stopped praying to a generation ago, and she would like a ride north. Lawrence agrees, partly out of curiosity and partly because Holo is also an exceptionally shrewd reader of merchants and the trades they survive on. The series is the road trip — a currency manipulation here, an alchemist's scam there — and the long, slow conversation the two of them have along it.
