
勝又進
Susumu Katsumata was a Japanese mangaka and illustrator. In 1966, he debuted as a manga artist in Garo with a series of 4-koma gag strips, usually satirical or political in nature. He graduated from the Tokyo University of Education with a degree in physics, and studied nuclear physics as postgraduate work. He worked alongside Tatsumi Yoshihiro and Tsuge Yoshiharu in the alternative manga magazine Garo. Won the 35th Japanese Cartoonists Association Award Grand prize for Akai Yuki. He died in 2007 due to melanoma.
