Binging hundreds of different anime and manga hardcore since 2017. I love anime and manga that focus on emotional character development and satisfying character arcs the most. That's the gist of who I am.

MY STANDARDS FOR ANIMANGA
-Excellent art/OST/animation/storytelling can add to the score, but they hardly matter in the grand scheme for me personally. I care about arcs/premise/story more.
-For adaptations, if the anime fumbles in animation/presentation, it can definitely lower the score, especially if its one of the manga I love a lot.
1-4: Anything below 5 is bad. The more wasted potential I see in a manga with an intriguing premise/themes, the lower the score. Regardless if it was well executed at first, if the final arcs fumbles into consistently bad writing, I will lower it. Wasted potential can apply to higher scores sometimes, but if the story throughout has been enjoyable, I will not lower it to these numbers.
5: Average. Doesn’t do much to invest, entertain, or move me. Regardless if the story/characters might be well written, if it does not do any of the three above, its score will end up around here.
6: Not bad, but not good either. I found a few things valuable/entertaining within the story that made it worth seeing or reading, but not to a point where I overall enjoyed it.
7: I liked it. I was somewhat entertained and/or gained many things valuable from its story/characters. Around this score is where I feel I was overall impressed, but the story/characters didn’t do enough in development to rate it any higher.
8: I really liked it. Fulfills its premise well and executes its story and some/few character arcs to a satisfying degree. I gained many valuable things from watching. Relatively entertained overall, but not to a point where I find it excellent. The journey I had going through these series may or may not have some fumbles and/or missed potential in the road, but they don’t hinder the experience.
9: I really loved it. Fulfills its premise, story, and/or some of its character arcs to a very satisfying degree. I was very moved, entertained, and reacted a lot to the story’s developments to a point where I felt I gained a lot from seeing/reading it. If the series’ characters can move me to a point where I nearly or actually cry, it goes to this score range. The reasons a series may not be a 10 is that I feel there was some missed potential/flaws that it hindered it from being a 10/10 experience.
10: A masterpiece and/or an overall incredible experience that kept delivering on its premise/story/character arcs simultaneously. I reacted like crazy to the story and developments consistently to the point where I found myself seeing how people reacted to the notable chapters/episodes on r/anime or r/manga. There might be a few fumbles/missed potential I saw, but if most of the overall journey I had watching or reading it was incredibly satisfying, it stays in this score. I love it to a point where I really cherish the experiences/themes/characters within it for years to come.
