I try to avoid bias, and I'm always open to others' opinions, recommendations, and debates. When I rate things, I try to be more on the objective side with only a bit of my general standing on the series, although I fail at that sometimes.
I'm really big on relatable themes, and lots of themes that can be taken in as life lessons or ones that can impact me personally and leave a lasting effect are my biggest plus in a piece of media. How an anime is directed matters a lot to me, and is one of the biggest factors; this ties to art direction, sound direction, etc as well.
My favorite Genre is Psychological
10-9 = Borderline Perfect, from storytelling, to soundtrack, to delivery, themes, and of course, visually. Anything I have rated as a 10/10 is quality in all categories. Anything that is a 9 is usually a bit lacking in one of those factors, but not in such a way that it impacts the quality of the series.
8 = A good anime, generally the standard. This is where you'll see most anime that I've seen and enjoyed.
7 = A decent anime, this is the average, not saying anything here is necessarily bad, but it usually lacks multiple key components and/or has mediocre writing.
6 = A below-average anime; most things here are things I would start to consider bad.
5-4 = Very mediocre anime, although finding entertainment is still there, but the anime is just pretty bad at this point.
3-1 = Trash anime, I might put some dropped stuff here, and anything else here is pretty horrible in my opinion.
I will explain any of my ratings and can give you a reason why they're rated where they are if you ask.
