Taste summary: I want good characters with interesting character dynamics and nice heartfelt moments, and absolutely no salacity!!! Slice of life is my favorite genre, but typically I'm looking for interesting concepts or characters therein, and not iyashikei. Believe it or not, romance is far from my preferred genre! It's just that a lot of interesting nonsense comes from it. Despite this in-depth exposition, I'll still try nearly anything if its got a cozy/bubbly art style
... and time travel is my absolute favorite concept!!

I don't have troubles commiting to media, I'm just very averse to wasting my time on something I don't enjoy! (Shocking, I know)
My filter for what I drop gradually refines via trial and error....
It's a pretty intuitive 1-5 scale with a decimal, but due to lack of support from the site itself they're multiplied by 2 to fit a 1-10 scale.
IMPORTANT: most ratings here are pretty old and might not reflect well on this scale. To put it simply: since implementing this I've started giving out lower ratings more often (since the old system I was using was really biased), making some ratings seem overly harsh by comparison
This is just a general guide for what is ultimately just a small part of my beloved topic: criticism and praise! Make sure to read the notes for clarification in case of confusion
Anything in the Shouldn't Have Watched/Read categories are things I should've dropped but didn't for a whole array of potential reasons. If there's an entry in this category that I did actually drop, then it's to say I wish I had dropped it sooner
It is slightly hyperbole because it doesn't take into account the tough lessons I learned from them (such as finding an absolute hatred for some trope) that I don't want to forget, but generally I would have rather spent my time on something else.
