~50% of the score I give for a show, comes from enjoyment.
The main factor of my score comes from the major aspects of the storyline, how good they've been executed (mainly being character development, how the main events affect the overall goals of the character, etc.). So pretty much just boring Literature stuff.
When it comes to story reviews/scoring, I approach it with a standpoint as a writer, like it were my book. The messages, the characters, the plot, and how they all tie together. This is what I like to do, and it helps me improve as a writer myself as well.
Other points aside... Reviews will obviously be based off my opinion and my opinion only (for the most part). I don't care if there's a "secret message" or something I miss the first time, my ratings are based only off what I think. I also will not put summaries in my reviews (like some other reviews), just to make it seem longer and more in depth. If you want a summary, watch whatever the review was on.
