“Life is like a leaf floating on an infinitely wide river; it is helpless against the current”
Spoiler, click to viewI like most genres but some elements in anime that enhance my experience a lot when done well are: world building, OST and writing (especially dialogue). Favorite genres/themes are: coming of age, psychological, slice of life, drama, mystery, fantasy and adventure. I especially love fantasy with psychological/philosophical symbolism.

About my scoring & notes:
Spoiler, click to view I score based on feeling - that being how much I enjoyed watching/reading it, but also how much it impacted me. Though, I also take into account how “good” I think it is on a more objective level (natural exposition, plot armor, plot holes etc.). These three things have different amounts of impact on the final score depending on what it was I consumed. Therefore you shouldn’t take my scores too seriously, because I might think differently of it if I watched it today. On that topic, some scores I do change after some time, but that is depending on which of the three factors that contributed the most to the score - for example the movie Garden of words, which score is purely based on the atmosphere and overall vibe, objectively I don’t think it’s a good movie, but I still loved watching it. When it comes to my notes most of them are written after I finish the show and not edited afterwards. Because I have improved at putting my thoughts into words since I started watching anime in august 2019 my older notes are not as elaborate.
