If there are two things you must know about me, I'm an otaku and pursuing a Bachelor's in Japanese Language. After college, I aim to be a writer and a translator for Japanese art.
My passion for art started with watching anime and reading manga a decade ago, so around 2015-16. Along the way, I branched out to other media. I'd say my biggest loves are anime and movies right now. My taste has shifted and grown throughout the years, staying inconsistent until I'm six feet under. I'm able to like anything of any genre as long as it's good.
The one unifying reason for my love for art is, admittedly, the escapism it provided. Nowadays, I'm acutely aware of the pitfalls of attaching yourself to art, but it's still one of the things that gives me meaning in the world. Art and fiction have taught me endless things and shaped me into a better, more complete person. The acuteness is what I carry over in any of my written reviews, learning along the way about the craft and workings of various media to enrich my knowledge and love.
- Anime on here are ones that, at some point, I want to revisit. - Some scores might reflect my current thoughts and feelings. In fact, I feel strongly about a few of them. Others, meanwhile, have substituted scores cause I watched long ago and need to refresh my memory. A few anime (JJK, Tomozaki) are on there because I feel indecisive about it, even if my memory is good.
- Anime that I watched with Japanese subtitles and/or no subtitles at all.
