The second arc of the Monogatari series picks up immediately after Bakemonogatari. Koyomi Araragi, no longer entirely human, juggles his now-girlfriend Hitagi Senjougahara and the supernatural ecosystem of his town while the focus shifts to his two younger sisters: the loud, justice-obsessed middle-schooler Karen, who has been infected by a malicious bee spirit, and the gentler Tsukihi, whose calm presence at home turns out to have been hiding a much larger apparition's footprint than the family realized. Nisemonogatari is the show getting cosier and stranger about the same characters at once.
