Burdened by his father's debt, teenage Denji scrapes by hunting devils for cash with his only friend left — Pochita, a small chainsaw-shaped devil. When his employers turn on him and leave him for dead, Pochita merges with him to keep him alive. He wakes up something new: a man with a devil's heart, able to pull cords from his arms and head and rev the chainsaws that now sprout from his body.
