Greetings! I'm an anime enthusiast hailing from India with a scientific mindset. Like my favorite character, Shinya Yukimura, I tend to analyze everything through a logical and rational lens. I started watching anime from 2016 with my first anime being Dragon Ball Z. Besides anime, I enjoy programming, chess, and music.
While I appreciate aspects like art, animation, voice acting, and music, I prioritize a compelling story with well-developed characters. Don't get me wrong, I recognize the importance of these elements in anime, but a captivating story with average animation is preferable to the reverse.
As a binge-watcher, I typically wait for seasonal/airing anime to conclude before diving in. Naturally, I skip openings and endings while bingeing. If there's an English dub, chances are I've watched it, regardless of how superior the sub may be.
Confession: I'm too lazy to read manga, so my passion for anime takes center stage.
I rate anime depending on how inspirational, motivational, educational or emotional it is besides being entertaining. I avoid giving 10/10 ratings to maintain a clear distinction for any future outstanding anime.
My rating system:
>9 : Masterpiece,
8.5 - 9 : Impressive, 8 - 8.5 : Solid,
7 - 8 : Satisfactory, 6 - 7 : Mediocre,
5 - 6 : Disappointing, 4 - 5 : Regrettable,
<4 : Appalling
