After the mana calamity scatters the Greyrat household across the continent, Rudeus and his sword-instructor companion Eris find themselves stranded on the Demon Continent — months of bad terrain, scarce food, and a Superd warrior named Ruijerd whose race the rest of the world has been taught to fear on sight. The three form an adventurer party with the trade name Dead End and work their way north, picking up a bounty here and a favour there. Rudeus's life leans further into the second one he wanted: meaningful, deliberate, and full of the kind of choices the first one never had.

Sadly, part 2 is awful for all the same reasons part 1 is.
Flawed but has some great characters and moments. Also I want Ghislaine to cleave me in half with a broadsword.
