#Welcome to my Profile!
I'm a 28-year-old civil engineer who enjoys watching anime when I have free time (which I don't have much of nowadays...). I've been watching anime for 17 years (Since 2009, starting with Fruits Basket)! Due to my lack of time from being an adult, I've actually been reading manga more, so I'm currently challenging myself to read all of One Piece (which is the longest thing I've ever attempted to read/watch).

MY TASTE IN A NUTSHELL:
As I've grown older, I've found that my favorite animes are the ones that pull at your heartstrings and discuss themes related to family or relationships. I also enjoy rom coms, and dramas! I also have a guilty pleasure for dumpster fires that you can't look away from (Domestic Girlfriend, Rent a Girlfriend, etc). I think I just tend to enjoy the anime where I can just turn my brain off and have fun. I much prefer shorter anime to longer anime, since my attention span is just nonexistent nowadays :)
♡ Kirito is my one true comfort/favorite character. Nobody else can/will take his spot. I have loved him so much for the past 12 years, and I always will. He is an extremely big part of me.
♡ Sword Art Online is my comfort anime, and it's also my personal favorite. I will never forget discovering it one fateful day in July, 2014. Most people in real life know me because I like this anime, so it's essentially become part of my identity. That definitely has its pros and cons :")
How I score my anime:
Scores are based on personal enjoyment and my personal opinions of the overall story. I can rate an anime as a 10 and it does not need to be perfect! Scores of 10 are usually left for an anime that has left a really big impact on my life in some way. That, or maybe it hits close to home (Your Lie in April centered around the piano, and I grew up playing piano, for example).
Here is my general rating scale that I follow:
9: Great: An anime that is strong in almost all aspects, but just doesn’t hit the same way that a 10 does for me personally. Consider this the honorary 5/5 stars ★★★★★
8: Very Good: Extremely enjoyable with only a few minor issues. Quality is less than a 9, but still very solid overall and would recommend people to watch (4/5 stars) ★★★★☆
7: Good: I liked this anime. It was definitely still enjoyable, but lacking in the quality of storytelling/characters that I personally feel deserve a score of an 8. Some of these tend to be more guilty pleasures for me. (3/5 Stars) ★★★☆☆
6: Okay: This is reserved for anime that I still found to bring minimal levels of enjoyment, but the bad is starting to outweigh the good here by a lot. Many issues with storytelling/characters (2/5 Stars) ★★☆☆☆
5: Meh: For a 5, I wasn’t personally fond of it, but I still finished it (somehow). This score also tends to be the baseline for me to drop an anime. Anything below 5 is just worsening levels of quality (1/ 5 Stars) ★☆☆☆☆
Below 5: Terrible: I hate it. There is literally nothing redeeming about these anime. The lower it is the more I hate it :) ☆☆☆☆☆
