The children of the Plantation 13 Birdcage don't have parents, don't have last names, and don't expect a life past their next sortie in a FRANXX — a humanoid weapon piloted by a paired girl and boy, the only thing that can stop the kyoryu that prowl the wastes outside the wall. Hiro was once the squad's prodigy until he stopped being able to sync with a partner. He is being quietly written off when Zero Two — half-kyoryu, dangerous to her co-pilots, banned from polite company — selects him with a single sentence: Found you, my darling.
