Run this list before you hit submit. It catches the most common rejection reasons by far.
Universal
You're editing the right entity. Search the database carefully — the same title can exist under multiple romanisations.
The change is factual, not preference (genre, tag, score, "I think the synopsis should sound nicer").
You have at least one verifiable source (see Sourcing).
Your submission is scoped — a single, focused change, not a wall of unrelated edits.
Romanisation follows the standard for the language (Hepburn for Japanese, Revised Romanisation for Korean, pinyin for Mandarin).
Casing follows the rule for the field (titles use title case in English, native title preserves source casing).
Anime / Manga entries
Type is correct (TV / Movie / OVA / ONA / Special / Music for anime; Manga / Novel / One-shot for manga).
Status is current (Releasing, Finished, Hiatus, Cancelled, Not yet released).
Episode count / chapter count matches the official source. Use the released count, not the planned count, for ongoing works.
Dates use the original air country's timezone, not your local zone.
Studios are the production studios, not the licensors or streaming sites.
Country of origin matches the production country, not the language.
No spoiler in the synopsis (synopsis is for promotion, not a recap).
Characters and staff
The character / staff exists within an approved media entry — never standalone.
Voice actor / staff role is credited on an official source (ANN, MAL, AniDB, studio site).
Character role is set correctly (Main / Supporting / Background).
Character names use the native script as the primary name; romanisation is the secondary.
Images
Image is the official artwork when one exists — not fan art.
Resolution is sane (covers usually 230×320+; banners 1500×500+).
No watermarks from third-party fan sites.
The image you're replacing is genuinely worse (low-res, wrong aspect, mismatched).
Streaming links
You verified the link plays the correct episode, not just the series page.
You noted Sub vs Dub correctly.
The streaming site is one Waifora currently supports — submissions for unsupported partners are rejected on review (see Streaming Submissions).
You're not duplicating a link from another source unless yours is meaningfully better quality / reliability.
Tags and relations
Tag spoiler-status is set when the tag itself is a spoiler.
Relation type matches (Sequel ≠ Side Story ≠ Spin-off ≠ Alternative).
If you ticked every box, your submission is almost certainly going to be accepted. If even one feels uncertain, fix it first — re-submitting is more work than re-checking.
