Streaming Submissions

Waifora accepts user-submitted streaming links for episodes. This page covers how they flow from a submission to a live link, and how they're disclosed to viewers and to search engines.

Lifecycle

1. Submitted — a user posts a streaming URL for a specific episode (anime, episode number, Sub/Dub).
2. Awaiting review — the link sits in a queue and is not yet visible on the public page.
3. Reviewed by a moderator — verified that the URL is reachable, matches the correct episode + variant, and respects site rules.
4. Approved — the link goes live on the episode's watch page, labelled as a user submission.
5. Rejected — with a reason returned to the submitter (broken, mismatched, against rules).

Supported streaming partners

Waifora curates the list of streaming partners it links out to. Each partner can be enabled or disabled independently. When a partner is disabled, links from that site stop showing on Waifora — that includes both editorial and user-submitted ones — and any new submissions targeting it are rejected on review.

If you want to submit a link from a site that isn't currently supported, raise it via Channels before submitting; the team can decide whether to add it.

Disclosure (UGC labelling)

Approved user-submitted links are clearly labelled as user-generated content on every page where they appear:

• A "User-submitted" tag sits next to each link contributed by a user — visible at a glance, not hidden behind hover.
• A page-level disclosure ("Streaming links on this page are submitted by users and reviewed by moderators") sits above the links list.
• The structured data for those links is marked as user-contributed, so Google and other search engines can tell them apart from site-authored content.

This matters for two reasons:

1. Transparency. Visitors should know whether a streaming link is one Waifora itself surfaces or one another user submitted.
2. Search-engine policy. Google's helpful-content guidance treats user-generated content differently from site-authored content; mislabelling user submissions as site-authored would be deceptive. We label explicitly to stay on the right side of that line.

What we don't accept

• Links to sites that violate copyright in ways the streaming partner itself doesn't dispute (i.e. obvious illegal mirrors with no licensing relationship).
• Links to private trackers, IP-blocked regions with no fallback, or anything behind a paywall the embed can't surface.
• Duplicates — if the same Sub/Dub variant for the same episode already exists from another source, the duplicate is rejected unless it adds clear value (higher quality, more reliable host).
• Links to streaming partners that aren't currently supported on Waifora (see above).
